Hi. I'm Josh Tam from Tamugaia.com. For those who do not know me, I was the creator of some hit games like Sabermania (2005), the Snowball and Avalanche series, Aevarrian Coliseum, Alien Galaxion X, Final Slam and some other games. I was out for about 2 years due to studies and health issues. Now I am back in the Flash Game business. What's new, you may ask?

Well, currently working on backgrounds for my sister Shoukei's upcoming animation series "Super Hero Clock". Maybe you guys have already seen the old super hero clock? Also, I am working on a fighting game engine that will become the base for Final Slam 2. For those who are not familiar with Final Slam, it is a flash game I made some time in 2006 or 2007 I forgot and it was a fighting game with a fighter-creation feature. You can check it out at my profile. The fighting engine wasn't so good and there was a lag. So this fighting game engine will be addressing that issue. I have started work on this fighting game engine and so far all is good. Later on, I will also be developing a flash 3D game engine that uses 2D sprites. Actually I already have one and I used it in Turkey Shooter 3D and Flying Klaus (you can check them out at my profile). But those seem to have problems as well. The game engine will be called Turkey3D and will be simple. Nothing like Papervision or Sandy that supports various complicated stuff. But still, it will get the job done.

Anyways right now I just uploaded a scanned version of my latest artwork Satan Fire and I have decided to sell the original.

See ya soon and I will be working hard on the fighting engine, Final Slam 2 and the other projects.

Haha I have been playing Megaman X again...

Actually I finished the PC version in 1997. It was a lot of fun, then I finished Megaman X 1-8 except 7. But recently I bought Megaman X again, but this time, it is Megaman Maverick Hunter X for PSP! Very cool. It is a remake of the first Megaman X, but with a few tweaks and all-new graphics. It is still very fun. But then I finished the game, and I get to play again as Vile!! Vile is a bit harder to use but more versatile in certain ways.

Check out some videos? Megaman Maverick Hunter X videos

Armor Games Kondense is launched!

You play as a water blob, trying to eat up all the kondensation water on the 3D surface. But as you grow bigger, you get harder to control, but you can drain away water by going over the drain hole. Make sure you do not fall off the edge!

This game is a combination of skill, speed, reflex and strategy, and also a good mouse! Difficulty is from medium to hard, with a different surface each level.

This flash game can get you hooked! It got me hooked even during development, before it was finished! I have always liked to control a water blob anywhere on a handy object that has condensation water on it. I would tilt the object to make the big blob eat up all the other small condensation blobs. Now I can do it on the computer!

I hope you have as much or more fun that I had during the development of this flash game.

I am so excited this month. It is the beginning of 2008. I just released Armor Games Snowball 2008 and an experimental cover song for Chinese New Year, but a new wave of online advertising campaign is starting in February.

It is called Pay Per Play ads. I've always been a fan of Pay Per Click ads like google adsense or chitika, but pay per play is just different. The ads are actually 5 second audios that will play on your site and you get money with every hit! That means even small sites can earn! I can't wait.

Armor Games Snowball 2008 is finally released!

Play Armor Games Snowball 2008

New features include:
1. Run using a 3D game engine.
2. 2 camera angles (classic and perspective)
3. Manual break the ball if you think it is big enough for a highscore
4. The snowball can jump to avoid cabins
5. 3 different upgrades: number of jumps, snow retention and response speed

Some people may not be able to play it because of keyboard issues. First make sure it is selected by double-clicking on the game screen. If that still won't work, you will need to update your Flash Player 9. If yours is 9. it may still not work. It needs to be 9.0.115.0 or higher. You can get it at Adobe

Have fun!

----Quoted from Tom Fulp----

Madness Day was a huge success, with over 200 submissions! It's never easy picking winners, but the following list has been "Krinkels approved."

1. Madness: Deus Ex Machina
2. Madness Manufactory
3. You can not kill Hank
4. Madness - Preloaded
5. Happiness Apotheosis
6. Xionic Madness
7. Fistful of Madness
8. Redness Precedence
9. Madness of the Dead
10. Cut the Madness

There were three NG-centric Madness movies that were all in the top 10 range, so I decided to just create three additional $250 prizes for them:

11. Madness: Newgrounds
12. Madness: Pathway through NG
13. HQ Madness

Also, because there were so many movies, we decided to put the best games in their own "Best Game" award category, for a $250 bonus prize each:

1. absolute.Madness
2. Madness: Deathwish

---End quote---

WHAT A MADNESS DAY!!

My opinion on the winners. I strongly had a hunch that it won't be reflected from audience voting. The audience are right in a way and they picked the stuff that they like most. But deciding winners isn't all aobut voting. I've seen a fair share of stuff that are good that sank to the bottom of the portal because of NG users who did not like/understand the concept or simply missed it. Anyways, I suspect the NG crew and Krinkels would pick winners based on other factors too, like how well a movie represents the original madness, audio usage, storyline... and maybe some other factors too, and well well was I right. Deus got first, Manufactory got second, you can not kill hank got third... (isn't it spelled as "cannot", not "can not"?)

But

Almost half of the Madness Day 2007 submissions were decent and made me laugh, even some crappy ones, like the one with a Gary Brolsma in it, so Madness Day rox!

Congrats to Jess-the-dragoon, I know my cute little sister is a little ____ but she can win some.

Madness Day 2007 is coming to an end now, but the heat has just risen.

Madness Manufactory by Jess-the-dragoon has become a big hit! Woo hoo!! Also, I can see Krinkel's work and Xionic and Preloader. All are cool... however, in my opinion, Jess-the-dragoon's work still has an edge over them in a few senses.

1. Original audio portal music. That's right. May not be as good as the music in other madness movies with copyrighted music and stuff, but then, as the Audio Manager of Madness Manufactory, I can tell you some. I actually wanted to put in the top Audio Portal music in there and just let it run. I suggested it to Jess-the-dragoon and said "You know, some NG users are particular about music. They don't hear something they can dance to, they'll vote lower than usual" but she said "no, this ain't gonna be a music video so we have to use the most suitable music." Well, I browsed through a lot of music from the NGAP and then found some that weren't that catchy but suited the situation, like when the cloning tubes were about to explode. Personally didn't like the music that much, but it was perfect for the scene. If I were to put a pop or heavy metal there it would have spoilt it. And when fighting the final boss, the audio was made in a way to convey an epic battle and a lot of guys noticed the epicness. If I put a dance dance song there, the movie would be broken.
This is all a risk to take. Some NG users are still siding on just adding cool music in the background and add all action in there like some madness movies do, but that's just not what Manufactory is all about. Jess-the-dragoon aims to tell a short story and entertain you with the movie, using suitable music, not just let you see some blood and entertain you with the music.

2. Possibly, Madness Manufactory is the most big-screen-movie-like submission for this year's Madness? I've seen Xionic and I'm very impressed too, but 90% of the scenes are 2D side-scrolling, like watching Danny Phantom. Not saying that is bad, the author did a pretty cool job too, just that something movie-like would appeal more to me. The subs were a little distracting too. Madness Preloaded has more movie-like sense too, but it was a little short and with a little less character variety, but still cool, how the guys got slashed! It's like watching HBO channel or something.
I like Madness Manufactory because of the cinematics but doesn't mean every NG user would like it because of that. Seems like Preloader and Xionic are preferred to Madness Manufactory. However, Jess-the-dragoon's aim is to make an epic, as I said before. Making stuff like that isn't about throwing in one whole super pop-rock music to entertain fans, nor is it about pointlessly slashing. There must be a meaning to the whole thing, the movie must lead to a climax (and not to be continued) and then the story is there, and in doing all this, suitable bg music is used to make the user get the feel of the scene.

3. Madness Manufactory pretty much is the best madness movie that recaptures the true meaning of madness. Monochrome guys with only few other colors somewhere, intense killing, and with prominent Madness characters used, like the clown and the Jesus.

Note on the suicide at the end:
Some like it, some don't. Well, it's all up to you. You have your own opinions but for those who don't get it, the guy was a new-born. He just came out of the testube and he was faulty. He thought everyone with a cross on the face were his enemies. He shot them down and then realized he was one of them. So he was faultily "programmed" (sort of) to destroy those cross-faced madnesses, including himself, so BANG!

Despite all the hate reviews and the BIG SEA OF GOOD REVIEWS, I am proud of what Jess-the-dragoon came up with this time. This, Super Hero Clock and Reblamed got her 3 Daily Firsts. In a row. This is hard to beat.

Madness Day 2007 is starting out in a blast. My sister Shoukei's movie "Madness Manufactory" is blowing things off.

I was the 2nd person to see the movie (she is the first) and I was in charge of the audio. I had to record sounds and search for suitable music from the audio portal. I also helped to debug the movie. There was a flash error that lengthened publishing time and I removed it.

All that and Shoukei's own animation skill, Madness Manufactory has become a huge hit and has won another gold cup for her.

I relaunched Tam Series. If you remember, Tam Series was labelled on games like Sabermania!

But now Tam Series will be a site for "Tam" gameshow flash games like Tam Tower Challenge. But that does not mean there will not be a Sabermania 2...

You can visit Tam Series here! I also made a Jpop Ringtones site with my spare time.
